Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has announced the PGT Syllabus 2019-20. The information is divided subject-wise and offers a clear indication of what to expect in the examinations. KVS TGT PGT Recruitment Exam Pattern

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan TGT exam will be divided into two parts.

Part I has 30 multiple choice questions in English (15) and Hindi (15) questions carrying one mark each.

Part II has 120 multiple choice questions carrying one mark each comprising of Current Affairs (40), Reasoning Ability (40), and Teaching Methodology (40).

The total time duration for the English test will be 2:30 hours each. Each Question has 1 Mark. There will be Negative Marking.

The position is open for Subjects including is available for English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Commerce, Maths, Biology, History, Geography and Computer Science Subjects. KVS TGT PGT Recruitment Exam Pattern

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan TGT exam will be divided into two parts.

 Part II of the question paper of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies in Part I. 4 marks each in English and Hindi subjects, and ten marks in aggregate must be obtained.

The final merit will be based on the combined performance in the written test (Part-II) and interview. The balance will be 70:30.

About Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan means, ‘Central School Organisation.’ This system of government schools in India was established under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). There are 1228 schools in the country and three abroad. In 2018, they became one of the longest school chains in the world. 

 The Minister in Charge of Human Resource Development of the Government of India heads the schools while the Commissioner is in charge of the functioning. Several committees work towards educating students in an all-inclusive manner. 

Each school has a standard syllabus and teach in English and Hindi. As co-educational institutions, Sanskrit is compulsory from classes VI to VIII. An option to study French or Russian as a third language is offered. The fees charged are used for the development of the school. Students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and children of KVS employees are exempt from tuition fees. Girls who are their parents’ only child from class VI onward are exempt from tuition and school development fund.
